Annu Kapoor on Nitesh Tiwari doing ‘Ramayan’: ‘Insulting Hindu religion? The shoes will beat him’-Entertainment News, Unlisted News – UnlistedNews

The filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari will make another adaptation of the ramayan supposedly starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and KGF Yash star. Speaking to the same, veteran actor Annu Kapoor, speaking to Aaj Tak, said: “Who is Nitesh Tiwari? What is his claim to fame for him? Insult the Hindu religion? He will be hit by the shoes. No one should insult any religion in this volatile situation.”

He added: “This is not the time for such an analysis. Society has not reached that level. You don’t have a rational perspective to comment on religion.”

About the movie

A source told Pinkvilla: “For the past few weeks, Ranbir Kapoor has been seen visiting the DNEG office to check on the progress of the Ramayana. The world preview has already been done and the team is now skin testing Ranbir to play Lord Ram. The purpose of the visit has been to get the right look for Ranbir, as by doing it right, he will move into the physical transformation look.”

He added: “Alia was the first choice for Ramayana, but in the past, the dates could not match due to multiple reasons. But with all the delays, Nitesh and producer Madhu Mantena have returned to her first choice and the actress is excited to play a character that could stay with her for a lifetime. Same for Ranbir, who is ready for this new divine journey of Shri Ram.”

About KGF Yash star

The source continued, “Yash has yet to sign the dotted lines, but Madhu is confident of having Yash on board for the film. There are some minor issues, and once those are resolved, Nitesh and Madhu will get things in writing with Yash.”
