Chiranjeevi will return to the big screen this year with an upcoming film titled Bholaa Shankar. The masala action entertainer features a star-studded cast that includes Keerthy Suresh, Tamannaah Bhatia, Sushanth and others in key roles. Amid high expectations, the long-awaited teaser has been released on social media and promises Chiranjeevi fans a good look. The teaser gives a glimpse of the power-packed action and rampage of massive music.
The makers of the film took to Twitter and released the trailer, where Chiranjeevi makes a mega entrance on screen. The premise seems to be set in Kolkata and promises to be action packed. He is seen pulling off high-octane stunts and beating up bad guys. The actor, who plays a leading role in the film, calls himself a ‘lion on a walk’. The film is directed by Meher Ramesh.

Chiranjeevi’s muted accent
Chiranjeevi is seen giving powerful dialogues that definitely entertain mass audiences. The dialogues are a mixture of Hindi and Telugu. And it is Telangana Telugu. Basically, the actor’s accent in the trailer is totally off. He sounds so strange delivering the dialogues in a mix of Hyderabadi Hindi with a Telangan-Telugu accent. But the way he throws it back at the bad guys is total whistle worthy.
Star-studded cast
It is a miss and a hit. Success because it is obviously star-studded as it features Keerthy Suresh playing the role of Chiranjeevi’s sister, Tamannaah Bhatia as her love interest and Sushanth Akkineni as a key character. We say miss since the teaser only shows a glimpse of them. Not much is given about their characters or screen space to the incredible actors. It’s just a blink in the teaser.
mass music
Massive music is a big hit of the teaser. The music for the film is composed by Mahati Swara Sagar. The background music with the name of Chiranjeevi’s character Bholaa suits the premise well and elevates his screen presence. Some glimpses of the songs from the movie were also shown and it all looks great with massive beats.

Bholaa Shankar is an official remake of the 2015 Tamil film Vedalam, starring Ajith Kumar. The upcoming film also stars Raghu Babu, Murali Sharma, Ravi Shankar, Vennela Kishore, Tulasi, Sri Mukhi, Bithiri Sathi, Satya, Getup Srinu, Rashmi Gautam, and Uttej. Dudley turns on the camera, where Marthand K Venkatesh is handling editing and AS Prakash is production designer. Story supervision is by Satyanand and dialogues by Thirupathi Mamidala Kishore Garikipati is the executive producer.
Financed by Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments, Bholaa Shankar is scheduled to hit theaters on August 11 this year. The film will collide at the box office with Rajinikanth’s Jailer, which opens on the same date.
