There is nothing more special than this.
On Sunday, a pair of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter stars gave social media followers a glimpse into a recent chapter in their lives as parents.
You see, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra recently visited their 14-year-old daughter Carly, who they gave up for adoption as teenagers at 16 and pregnant in 2009.
The couple have long spoken openly about this decision…about Carly’s adoptive parents…and about the connection they still feel to the little girl.
As seen in a black-and-white photo (above) posted to Catelynn’s Instagram page, the couple’s three youngest children, Novalee, 8, Vaeda, 4, and Rya, 18 months, were also there for the rare reunion. familiar.
In this unique snapshot, the foursome walk away from the camera, with Carly holding Rya in her arms.
“Had an amazing visit with our girl,” Catelynn captioned the image.
Then she spurted and spurted and spurted some more on Carly.
“She is funny, kind, SMART, silly and AWESOME,” added the MTV personality.
“Adoption is hard and saying goodbye over and over again is sooo hard!
“But seeing all of our girls together, getting to know Carly more and more each time, and being with our four daughters is truly a blessing!”
Leaving a comment on his wife’s post, Tyler called the time he spent with Carly and their three daughters “truly indescribable.”
He also shared some kind words about Carly’s mom and dad, Brandon, and Teresa.
Her parents have done an amazing job raising her! It’s pure magic to watch her play with her sisters because all you hear is booming laughter and all you see is tons of hugs!
They have an unmistakable connection that is bound together between forces that are much larger than shared DNA…it is literally pure transcendental magic.
I never wanted it to end. I love you so much @catelynnmtv you are the strongest woman I will ever meet.
You are the BEST MOTHER I have ever seen and this family is only a family because of YOU! You are the most courageous, loving, wise and intuitive spirit and this family of ours is beyond blessed to have you as a beautiful matriarch..
In November 2021, Catelynn and Tyler noted how long it had been since they last saw Carly.
A month before that admission, Catelynn shared why she chose to continue documenting the joys and struggles of adoption during her time on Teen Mom.
“I think it’s amazing to be able to show the journey of open and semi-open adoption through the years and the ups and downs and learn and navigate this relationship,” Catelynn told E! News from then.
“I think it’s amazing that we can continue to do that in a way that can show our fans the journey, but also in a way that allows Carly’s parents to feel comfortable with us sharing it as well.”
