Leaving a comment on his wife’s post, Tyler called the time he spent with Carly and their three daughters “truly indescribable.”

Tyler wrote:
Her parents have done an amazing job raising her! It’s pure magic to watch her play with her sisters because all you hear is booming laughter and all you see is tons of hugs!
They have an unmistakable connection that is bound together between forces that are much larger than shared DNA…it is literally pure transcendental magic.
I never wanted it to end. I love you so much @catelynnmtv you are the strongest woman I will ever meet.
You are the BEST MOTHER I have ever seen and this family is only a family because of YOU! You are the most courageous, loving, wise and intuitive spirit and this family of ours is beyond blessed to have you as a beautiful matriarch..

In November 2021, Catelynn and Tyler noted how long it had been since they last saw Carly.
A month before that admission, Catelynn shared why she chose to continue documenting the joys and struggles of adoption during her time on Teen Mom.
“I think it’s amazing to be able to show the journey of open and semi-open adoption through the years and the ups and downs and learn and navigate this relationship,” Catelynn told E! News from then.
“I think it’s amazing that we can continue to do that in a way that can show our fans the journey, but also in a way that allows Carly’s parents to feel comfortable with us sharing it as well.”
