Brad Pitt has sued his ex-wife Angelina Jolie for selling him half of a French vineyard they co-owned in 2022. Pitt’s lawyer claimed the sale had taken place “secretly” behind Brad’s back. Lawyers for the Fight Club actor stated in a amended lawsuit that Angelina Jolie “kept him in the dark.”

In a 2021 press release from Brad Pitt, the actor revealed that Angelina Jolie sold half of a French vineyard to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler. He then decided to sue Jolie over the matter in February 2022. Brad’s attorneys filed an amended lawsuit Thursday in Los Angeles against his ex-wife that says Jolie “kept the actor in the dark” while continuing the sale. . .

The revised version reads: “That was by design: Jolie secretly collaborated with Shefler and his associates to pursue and then consummate the alleged sale, ensuring Pitt was kept in the dark.” The document acquired by The Post further states that Yuri Shefler and Angelina’s company “knowingly violated the rights of Pitt and [his company] Mondo Bongo’s contractual rights and forced a stranger into the Pitt family home.”

After Angelina and Brad separated in 2016, they had a “mutual and binding commitment … that, if the time ever came, neither could dispose of his separate interest without the other’s consent.” The couple had an equal interest in the $160 million Chateau Miraval; they had bought the majority stake in 2008. The vineyard, which stretches over 1,200 acres, ended up where Angelina and Brad were married in 2014.

The new paperwork mentions how the winery business is Brad’s “passion,” which allowed him to team up with Marc Perrin in 2013. The legal document states that Jolie “supported” the decision on behalf of the family, but did not “none of the things” necessary work.” He says: “She stood by while Pitt poured money and sweat capital into the house and business relying on his promise to keep Miraval together, as well as the contractual rights his holding company, Nouvel, owed to he”.

Angelina Jolie’s lawyers have said Brad’s claims are “frivolous, malicious and part of a problematic pattern.” Maleficent’s acting company, Nouvel, filed a $250 million crossover lawsuit against Pitt’s lawsuit in September 2022.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married in August 2014 and filed for divorce in September 2016. Together, the former couple are the parents of six children.
