Shahid Kapoor Reveals Father Pankaj Kapur’s Best Advice
In his chat with Pinkvilla, Shahid Kapoor stated that his father, Pankaj Kapur, taught him that the actor in him will bring out the star when he grows up. “You know, my father said, ‘Now you’re doing these ‘hero’ roles with beautiful heroines, you’re cute and charming, like the boy next door. And it’s giving you popularity. But, there’s an actor inside and when you do a good acting or even a good scene one day, you’ll feel like the lion that tasted blood for the first time. After that, you won’t be satisfied with anything less,’” the Bloody Daddy actor recalled.
Shahid Shares His Opinion On Stardom
The talented actor also shared what stardom means to him, and how he got to this point in his career and life, in his chat with Pinkvilla. “You’re an external type of popularity that you see. People like you, they love you, they give you all the admiration and adulation. But that’s external: they feel happy when they see you. But do you feel happy? Internal the Happiness, fulfillment, growth, and evolution happen when you creatively engage yourself in a journey of growth, evolution, and improvement, where boy becomes man, man becomes professional, and professional becomes legend. it’s the journey. that every guy, after a point, wants to take that forward,” Shahid Kapoor said.
“That is the most enriching, longest lasting and most respectable journey. And that is just what I always choose. I will always chase great characters, great movies, great scenes, great moments that touched me and visuals that I can. “Don’t forget 20 years later because they were so brilliant regardless of where the technology is. That’s really cinema for me. And I want good movies to be commercially successful,” the actor concluded.
