The first trailer of the tense drama directed by Idris Elba of Apple TV+ To kidnap It has decreased.
In the clip, we see Elba’s character Sam, a seasoned negotiator in the business world, board a flight that is later taken over by armed men. The clock begins to tick as Sam tries to first negotiate and then outwit the terrorists, but in doing so he uncovers a larger conspiracy. The action takes place in real time, over the course of a seven-hour flight from Dubai to London.
On the ground in London, a counter-terrorism team led by Archie Panjabi (The good wife) becomes involved in the investigation and strives to find answers before the passengers start dying.
The series, created by George Kay (Lupine) and Jim Field Smith (Offender), also starring Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel and Ben Miles.
In addition to writing and directing, Kay and Field Smith serve as executive producers alongside Elba, Laurenson, Kousetta and Kris Thykier. The series is the first to emerge from Elba’s Green Door Pictures’ first deal with Apple.
To kidnap is produced by 60Forty Films, the production company behind Apple dramas slow horses and the essex snakeand Kay and Field-Smith’s Idiotlamp Productions.
To kidnap debuts on Apple TV+ on June 28.
