But not only did he alter one, it was a photo where almost everyone on the planet can easily find the original. Girl why?

The photo above is the actual photo. Getty Images has it as part of its archive. However, it is not the version that Kim shared with his followers.
As we detail in this caption, the photo of Kim on the left, which she shared on Instagram, is a distortion.
There are slight changes to his arm, chest, and torso.
The most dramatic difference is Kim’s chin and jawline. But he is very small, not enough to change the appearance of him, but certainly enough for people to notice.
At least you notice them if you see them next to each other. Kim’s smile lines and the fit of her top are the biggest giveaways.
Does it look better in one photo than the other? No.
In fact, many commentators have pointed out that even looking at the two and their differences, it’s not immediately clear which is the original and which is the fake.

That calls into question whether any editing like this is “necessary.” Perhaps some red-eye filters and blemish removal would fall into that category. arguably

This is not just anyone editing their appearance. This is Kim Kardashian.
She is an influencer. She is one of the most prominent, famous and beautiful influencers in the world.
If she thinks she has to touch up her look when she goes to a fashion show, all dressed up and made up, what message does that send?
And we can’t claim that no one cares what Kim thinks about her body.
The whole concept of an influencer is that he influences people. Kim has parlayed mild fame and an unusual silhouette into a billion-dollar net worth.
Kim’s “flaws” may be imaginary. The damage that these editions can cause in the minds of her followers is not. If Kim thinks her body needs “fixing,” what hope does anyone else have?
