For Meri Brown, this past Saturday was an especially special occasion.
First, as we previously documented on this website, the Sister Wives star attended the wedding of Gwendlyn Brown and Beatriz Queiroz.
“What a fun night celebrating them!” Meri captioned the following photo on Instagram.
“@gwendlynbrown truly is a blessing to me and I am so thankful for her love! I wish you both a life filled with love and laughter!”

Meanwhile, elsewhere, at the same event, Meri was able to spend time with her daughter, Leon.
In the midst of the newlyweds’ celebration, the mother and her only son posed together for a sweet reunion photo… which Brown also uploaded to social media.
“The best of today. That’s all. @leointhemountains,” captioned Meri, who shares Leon with her ex-husband Kody Brown.

Leon came out as transgender in June 2022 and confirmed that they use the pronouns they/they.
The reality star also said that they were “sharing this part of myself to let people in and also to set some boundaries” by choosing not to interact with those who “choose not to use my name or correct pronouns.”
Leon added at the time:
“Being queer and trans are definitely some of my favorite parts of myself. And yet there are so many things that I am learning to love about myself through this process.
“I am here to know myself, to share myself and to continually evolve to be the person that I am, to be my favorite self in all contexts”.

In January 2023, León underwent gender reassignment surgery.
And then earlier this month, Leon shared on Instagram that they were “feeling gay, trans, grateful, AT HOME” amid the surge in proposed anti-trans bills springing up across the United States.
“Reminder that trans people cannot be removed by law,” they wrote.
“We will continue to be born, we will continue to live, we will continue to thrive and find our joy.
“Just like today, I spent some quality time outdoors, doing absolutely nothing and feeling grateful to exist as I am.
“And then I came home to fried green tomatoes because it was my favorite growing up, and I cried when I remembered why.”

As for Meri?
She has been nothing but a support.
The TLC personality celebrated León in March in honor of International Transgender Day of Visibility.
“I see you! I love you! I understood you!” Brown wrote on his Instagram story along with a photo of Leon and his partner Audrey Kriss, adding the message:
“Protect trans children.”
Sister Wives season 18 premieres August 20 at 10/9 on TLC.
