Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird visits her older sister, Jessica, in the latest episode of Mama June: Family Crisis, and catches up with what’s happening in her life. Jessica is currently working at a daycare and now has a new roommate. During the conversation, Pumpkin asks Jessica about her love life and future plans. While Jessica is optimistic and relaxed about things, Pumpkin is not convinced and thinks Jessica is hiding something. Pumpkin believes that Jessica misses staying with them.
Jessica asks Pumpkin about their mother, Mama June, and the twins whom she has not seen since they were born. Pumpkin reveals that Mama June showed up at the hospital but only saw the twins for a few minutes. Mama June has not seen her new grandchildren since, and Jessica finds this ridiculous. The siblings discuss Mama June’s new husband and Pumpkin suggests that he has always been more important than the family.
In the season premiere episode, “June’s Big Secrets,” Pumpkin and Josh are revealed to be raising five kids with only $800 in child support for Alana. June and her new husband Justin begin to plan their wedding, but June is rushed to the hospital suddenly. Pumpkin discovers that June has moved to Alabama, which she thinks is because June is using drugs again. The new season of Mama June: Family Crisis airs Fridays at 9 pm Eastern Time on WE tv.
