The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Delhi, has urged the Kejriwal government to organize special screenings for girls as a part of their initiative to promote the girl child. In addition, the party extended its support to ‘The Kerala Story,’ a short film that educates girls on menstrual hygiene, education, and empowerment.

The BJP Delhi chief, Adesh Gupta, announced at a press conference on Saturday that the party would like to endorse ‘The Kerala Story,’ produced by the Kerala state chapter of the party. The film is about ten minutes long and covers various issues related to young girls’ lives.

“The Kerala Story educates girls about health and hygiene during menstruation and talks about how education and empowerment are essential for the overall development of a girl. We would like to suggest that the Delhi government give the film tax exemption, as it can bring about a positive impact on society,” said Gupta.

The BJP leader also urged the Delhi government to organize special screenings of the film for young girls across the city. “It is important to educate our girls about these issues, and the film can be a great way to do that. We urge the government to organize special screenings of the film in schools and colleges, followed by discussions on these topics,” he added.

According to Gupta, the BJP will take up this issue with the Delhi government and ensure that the necessary steps are taken to make this happen.

Additionally, the BJP leader also talked about the party’s ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign and emphasized the need to work towards the upliftment of the girl child. “Our party is committed to empowering the girl child and ensuring their safety and security. We will continue to work towards their betterment and urge the government to do the same,” he said.

The BJP’s move to endorse ‘The Kerala Story’ and urge the Delhi government to take necessary actions is a step towards creating awareness about women’s issues and promoting gender equality. The film aims to empower young girls by educating them about their bodies and lives, and it is essential to ensure that it reaches its intended audience.

In conclusion, the BJP Delhi’s move to support ‘The Kerala Story’ and promote the girl child by organizing special screenings is commendable. It is important to educate our girls about various issues and empower them to lead better lives. With initiatives like this, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society.
