During her first public rally in poll-bound Karnataka, Sonia Gandhi criticized the BJP for the atmosphere of “loot, lies, ego, and hatred” it has created in the state. She emphasized that getting rid of this would be necessary for Karnataka and India to progress.
Gandhi stated that it was everyone’s responsibility to strengthen their voice against this government’s “dark rule.” She was accompanied on stage by Congress President M Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, who recently quit the BJP over the denial of a ticket and joined the Congress party.
Shettar to Contest from Hubli-Dharwad Central Constituency
The Congress party has fielded six-time MLA Jagadish Shettar from the Hubli-Dharwad Central constituency, from where he had won the previous Assembly polls in 2018.
