Since taking office, Biden has made some progress on these promises, but it hasn’t been as comprehensive as many critics had hoped. For example, instead of simply ending Title 42 altogether, the Biden administration has continued to use it in some cases, citing public health concerns related to COVID-19. They have, however, made some exceptions for families with young children.

Another area where Biden has struggled to make good on his promises is in regards to Border Patrol facilities. Although the Biden administration has made some moves to improve conditions for migrants in these facilities, they have been criticized for continuing to use facilities that were built during the Trump administration.

Furthermore, the number of unaccompanied minors arriving at the border has surged in recent months, putting a strain on resources and making it difficult for officials to find appropriate housing for all of them. The Biden administration has been criticized for not doing more to address the root causes of migration in Central America, which many believe could alleviate some of the pressure on the border.

Despite these challenges, the Biden administration has made some positive strides in regards to immigration. For example, they have reversed many Trump-era policies that made it more difficult for asylum seekers to obtain protections in the United States.
