A few storms have been detected in the Nashville area, according to Pockrass, but for now, all is well at Superspeedway. This race starts later than other NASCAR races due to the intense heat in Nashville, Pockrass explained.
eyes on the prize
Justin Haley wasn’t sure he would qualify for Sunday’s race, but once he did, he set his sights on something else: the checkered flag.
Meanwhile, Bubba Wallace will make his 200th Cup Series start on Sunday, marking another milestone in the 23XI Racing driver’s career. Wallace was narrowly beaten for pole position in qualifying on Saturday. He slid sideways at the exit of the turn nearing the checkered flag and spun his Toyota 23XI into the infield, allowing Ross Chastain to hold on and secure his first career Cup Series pole at the Sunday race.
