Bronny James, the eldest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, went into cardiac arrest Monday and is in stable condition.
“Yesterday, while practicing, Bronny James went into cardiac arrest,” a spokesman for the James family said in a statement. “Medical staff were able to treat Bronny and take him to hospital. He is now stable and is no longer in the ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and will update the media when there is more information.”
“LeBron and Savannah would like to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC athletic and medical staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
James, 18, is entering his freshman year at USC and is ranked 20th in the ESPN 100 rankings of 2023. He is the sixth qualified point guard in the Class of 2023.
