How to Create an Instagram Broadcast Channel on Android and iOS Device – UnlistedNews

The parent of Instagram, Meta, recently announced about rolling out the Channels features to deliver messages. The feature, which has now rolled out globally, was previously limited to select creators and users. The social media platform began testing the streaming channels feature in February of this year. Through this feature, creators will be able to share text, video, and photo updates with followers invited and subscribed to their broadcast channels. It should be noted that only creators can send messages on streaming channels. Followers can only react to content or vote in polls.

in a blog post On June 15, Meta announced the launch of the streaming channels globally. Once a creator gets access to create a channel, he can send messages and invite his followers. Followers, by joining the channel, will receive notifications whenever there are updates from the creator. However, all Instagram users will be able to see the content of the channel.

Followers can opt out of the channel or mute notifications at any time.

If you’re an Instagram creator who wants to create a streaming channel on your Android or iOS device, here’s how to do it:

Step 1: Open your Instagram page and select the messenger at the top right of the feed

Step 2 – Tap the edit or write message icon in the top right corner

Step 3: Now, select the ‘Create Streaming Channel’ option

Step 3: Name your streaming channel and choose your audience

Step 4: You can choose the channel in your profile

Step 5 – At the very end, tap on Create Streaming Channel

To join the broadcast channel, users can either click the access link shared by the creator or tap the link pinned to their Instagram profile. Once they select ‘Join Broadcast Channel’, they will subscribe to receive notifications whenever there are updates. Followers can also participate by reacting to content or voting in polls. However, they will not be able to send any messages.
