Instagram Acted on 54 Percent of User Complaints Raised in India in April – UnlistedNews

Facebook alone acted on more than 27.7 million pieces of content that it discovered violated community guidelines across 13 policies.

The top three categories in which Facebook took action alone included 21.7 million pieces of spam content, 1.6 million pieces of content faced action for violating the policy on adult nudity and sexual activity, and 1.4 million violent and graphic content.

Instagram received 9,676 complaints from users, of which it acted on 5,255 incidents.

The company provided tools for users to resolve their issues in 3,591 cases.

Instagram provided tools in only about 11 percent of the cases where users reported their account had been hacked, and about 30 percent of the cases where users claimed the content featured them with partial or partial nudity. a sexual act.

“Of the other 6,085 reports where specialized review was required, we reviewed the content in accordance with our policies and took action on 1,664 reports in total,” Meta said of the actions taken by Instagram.
