WhatsApp is introducing new features for Android devices, including the ability to silence calls from unknown numbers and a redesigned user interface featuring a bottom navigation bar. Other new features include the ability to create single-vote polls and the option to forward media with available captions and add captions to documents when sharing. These updates aim to improve the overall user experience by making it easier to share and provide context for media and documents. The new UI with a bottom navigation bar is currently available to a limited group of beta testers, while the silencing calls from unknown numbers feature is available via the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.10.7 update. Users can put unknown callers on silent mode via a toggle switch in the Settings > Privacy menu. These calls will still appear in the Calls log and notifications tab. The single-vote poll feature makes it more convenient for users to gather data and make decisions. WhatsApp says that it’s testing the feature to improve the app’s overall user experience.
